What is a JIG fixture?

The JIG fixture is a device used to fix the workpiece or machine part on the machine. It is fastened to CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, etc., where it can navigate, specify position and motion. That is, in a way, it guides the tool to work. The work tool will be stationary and the JIG fixture moves.
